NORFOLK COTTAGE

This historic stone cottage set in a hamlet on the north Norfolk coast was sensitively renovated to restore its original character. We reconfigured the space to create a relaxed, comfortable family retreat. An attic cupboard became a bathroom and storage was created in nooks and recesses working happily with sloping walls and ceilings. A palette of natural, textural materials and chalky colours creates a soft, calming vibe and connects the house to its surroundings. We used a mix of hand-crafted panelling and joinery, vintage furniture, sisal flooring and quirky accessories to give this retreat its rustic coastal vibe.
